Announcing the Winner of the National Instruments Innovation Design Competition 2013
Approximately 40 abstract papers were submitted from engineering and science schools in Cameroon and 20 teams were selected based on how students showcased their work on socioeconomic projects that impact their local communities in Cameroon. The 20 groups selected received NI myDAQ devices, NI LabVIEW software, and mentorship opportunities as they carried out their projects in a one-month time frame. A panel of anonymous judges selected three projects as the winners.
The Winners are:
1st Place - University of Douala (Faculty of Industrial Engineering) for “Design of Packaging Chain for Dry Beans”
2nd Place - Higher Institute of Technology and Industrial Design of Douala for “PC-Based Instrumentation System for Fire Prevention of Buildings”
3rd Place - University of Yaounde (National School of Advanced Engineering) for “Hybrid Cocoa Beans Dryer”
